U2 was a soft rock group during the 1980s. They are considered by some people to be the most influential music group of the 1980s. They had a great vocalist named Bono and songs with deep song meanings.

Pride (In the Name of Love) is one of my favorite U2 songs. It’s incredibly catchy and has some great guitar work and vocals. The song is about Martin Luthor King during the Civils Right movement of the 1960s.

Pride referred to how Martin Luthor King tried to inspire pride in African Americans, so they could stick up for themselves.

However, in the name of love refers to not only the love Martin Luthor King had for African Americans, it also refers to the love he had for other people as well because even though Martin Luthor King fought for African Americans’ rights, he always fought for it in a peaceful, verbal, classy way.
