Lynyrd Skynyrd was a southern rock group during the 1970s. They made a couple of great songs such as Sweet Home Alabama with some great guitar work and Freebird, their most popular song that was played during Conan O’Brian’s final Late show, and I had the privilege of seeing them live during a concert at Ribfest last Sunday.

There was a big Confederate flag in the back ground on a jumbotron, which made my friend uncomfortable because he thought it was racist, but despite how Kentucky fried this song is it’s a great rock and roll song and a better anthem for sweet little Alabama you probably won’t be able to find anywhere.
