Jimi Hendrix was a blues rock artist during the 1960s. He only made three albums before he tragically died. However, he did have some historical moments in rock and roll such as playing at Woodstock with his instrumental for the Star Spangled Banner.

Jimi Hendrix is the guitarist I respect most. If it were not for him we might not have had the music we got from other guitarists such as Jimmy Paige and Eddie Van Halen. Jimi Hendrix really did pave the way for other great guitarists to come after him. Also, he has made some very unique sounds with his guitar that only Eric Clapton from Cream ever seemed to replicate.
