Abraham became impatient with having a child from Sarai, so Sarai gave Abraham a servant girl named Hagar to sleep with instead, so they could have children. Hagar gave birth to a son named Ishmael but became pretentious towards Sarai, so Sarai had Hagar and her son sent away into another land where God promised that they would live safely but the house of Ishmael would be an enemy towards everybody around them. Lot, who had gone back to live in the Sodom area again, gave housing to a few angels who the city people wanted to sleep with. However, the angels had the people struck blind and God had the city burned to the ground with sulfur to make Sodom pay for all the sin they had committed. God spared Lot and his family by allowing his family to escape unharmed, except for Lot’s wife who turned into a pillar of salt because she looked back, and they settled in the nearby town of Zoar where Lot’s two daughters got him drunk, so they could sleep him with and maybe have children.
