Homer Simpson is the father of the main family in the Simpsons. He works at a power plant with dubious results and loves donuts and beer.
Homer is one of the funniest animated characters I have ever seen. He constantly makes mistakes with hilarious results. However, he almost always seems to succeed or learn his lesson in the end, too. Homer has many flaws as a character, but that’s what makes him so relatable. It’s nice to see somebody as flawed as Homer succeed because then we realize that our small flaws compared to his won’t really keep us from succeeding, too. This is a nice reminder for we who sometimes live in a society that is focused on not having any flaws. He’s also a very simple character and simplicity is one of my most prized virtues.
