The final chapter of Numbers is pretty boring and anti climactic. It discusses the marriage of people’s daughters and what happens to their inheritance, which is neither important for readers today nor is it particularly interesting. Despite this final chapter being kind of weak, though, I would like to finish off my assessment of Numbers by saying that it is highly under rated. Definitely the most boring book of the Bible so far was Leviticus, and Numbers has kind of a bad name that it doesn’t actually deserve. It’s amazing what a title can do to change somebody’s perspective on something, which is why I think one of the most important things to remember in writing and journalism is to make the title look good.
