The Jews walked around the city of Jericho seven days in a row until the city walls fell down and they killed everybody sinde except for the woman who had helped the spies. During the defeat of Jericho a man named Achan took some valuables from the city when they weren’t supposed to, which led to him and the rest of the Jews being cursed. Achan confessed to taking the valuables and he was stoned to death for his disobedience. The city of Ai was defeated, but the Gibeonites were able to save themselves by tricking the Jews. They became servants of the Jews instead. They laid stones to commemorate the deaths of Achan and the kind of Ai.
