Chronicles is turning out to be a pretty dry book about the lineage of Israel. However, the story of Saul’s death is also revisited. Saul was fighting with some Philistines on a mountain side, when the enemy won the battle. Saul was badly injured, so he asked for his body guard to kill him, but his body guard would not, so Saul did it himself. I don’t know why this same story is being mentioned again, but sometimes stories in the Bible repeat themselves such as when Jesus’ life is told about three different times with the same stories in three different books.
