This section of the Bible talks about how David expanded the land of Israel by conquering nearby groups of people such as the Philistines and taking what belonged to them. David succeeded in all of his battles because he was a Godly person and blessed by God. This section also discusses how they fought a couple of giants that belonged to the Philistines. One of the giants was the famous Goliath who David of course killed. However, there was also another giant who was nameless but had six fingers and toes instead of five on each hand and foot and was defeated by David’s son who David had named after his good friend, Jonathan, son of Saul.
